Is anyone doing the plug in for the sony firmware? I know a few are trying? The only one I know is that andy made an FM only for CF3.

Anyone else working on this?

Wow, that looks great.

Is this for the Venice 5 or the DAB+ model?

I'm hoping to have it installed in the car for the end of the month, I layed most of the cables on Monday.

Listening to my Venice 5 at the moment, just need to swap the aeriel for the car aeriel amp and it's ready to install in the car. I was planning to mount it in an aluminium enclosure but so far there's been no RF interference so I've not bothered, if this changes once it's in the car I'll be drilling out an aluminum box.

Looking good mr monkey

The plugin for CF3 is done on VB 2008, for a DAB+ module (venice 5.1) with Pure Firmware.

This should also work with the DAB only module (venice 5) but you will need to have the pure firmware on it. This plugin is not compatible with the sony one as they work completely different, much much more complicated.

All you do with pure is send a single hex command and the module does the rest for you, so its not as flexible, ie we are stuck with 2x16 LCD style display + stereo/rds/dab/signal indicator.

Does your radio work well in the car?

Does anyone know how to use the AUDIO LINE IN in CF3 and start the visualization? Im stuck at these problems. Once I got these 2 sorted out Ill work on the plugin for the sony, unless someone have already done it?

I'm yet to try it in the car, I'm yet to fit the PC into the car to be honest with you.

I hope to get it in there by the end of the month, I just need to get the touchscreen cable fitted which is a real pain as it's too short to run down the side with the USB cables so I'm going to have to figure out how to route it under the carpet without removing the whole interior. Either that or buy a short TS cable and use the 5m VGA cable I have, but this is all for another thread.

I will let you know as soon as it's had a run in the car.

Ok this plugin should work on both pure DAB and DAB+ firmware.

I got vis and mixer working finally, thanks to Andy. The sony version is still being worked on by him. Its alot more complicated so its gonna take more time.

EDIT :
To do > need to get the station name displayed on the buffer control panel on the top. Setup the record level and mute the playback. Im currently doing this on the taskbar volume control.

Anyone know please let me know.
