My boss was talking about this as he was at CeBit. I didn't think it looked that good though

it IS true 3D navigation though.. if it would implementable in the same way as mappoint is, I would drop the latter in favour of this.

Just noticed this...

NavNGo Limousine

NavNGo Limousine is a special version of the popular NavNGo iGO GPS navigation software which can be built into automobiles. With this program you can enjoy the advantages of satellite-supported navigation on a large display built right into your dashboard.
The look of the NavNGo Limousine solution differs from the PDA version, since the basic system consists of a computer without a display, a GPS receiver and some cables. The touchscreen is replaced by a remote control. The advantage of NavNGo Limousine is that it can be built into the dashboard easily and it works with all screens with an audio-video input regardless of whether they were original or aftermarket installations.

sounds like there going the standalone box route, no doubt mini pc or pocket powered, so I cant see them wanting to play with something like the car pc hobby as it could be competition.

TMC – Traffic Message Channel
TMC is a traffic information channel that we are continuously developing: it offers free traffic information in most countries by data transmissions over radio frequencies. The GPS unit of the TMC receiver transcribes the encoded signals. All anticipated traffic events on the relevant sections of road then appear on the map. In other words, with the help of TMC you are informed of accidents, road works and other changes that affect traffic in time to avoid them.

The latest iGO My way update supports TMC, so if the user has a TMC receiver or a GPS unit with a TMC antenna, the traffic information system is usable free of charge. TMC is presently available in most of western Europe, including Austria, Andorra, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Sweden.

I mean... this is nice

Its a bit like the phantom Sony system a few years back.

I have to say I may consider the 'Limo' unit and find some way to tie Girder in to the skin and IR....
