hehe!

cheers brumm

not those screws mr2, I'm after some obscure looking screw heads. like an egg shape with a bit to go with it. that way, if someone whips off the bezel, they'll be faced with these screws to remove.

cheers boys!

it's a linitx 8" widescreen. The height is perfect, and it will also fit nicely in a double din case (according to measurements by some users on mp3car).

Top job. How did you get the LinITX bezel back on afterwards though? I would've thought it wouldn't fit anymore with your customisations? (the first pic of it back in the car)

well spotted. it does't fit. I hacked the original case so I can keep the rubberized bezel for 2 reasons. 1) to hold the screen on using the case's existing screw holes ,and 2) so I can get the straight edges.

I've updated the stage where that happened in the pics above, I'll try to take some pics of that at some point, but you can just see it from the bottom that it has been cut. there's plenty of room at the top

Cool Classy Job

Very nicely done Sama.

I like the way you've completely rebuilt the screen, and not just melted the case in like I did ;)

Instead of putting in security screws, why not make a cover for it? It looks like there is room, have a clip on big knob or something :D
That way the scallies never even see anything worth nicking ;)

cheers dude

sadly, my carpc is dead :( I have no idea what's up with it, I think the M2's not supplying enough juice... it may have been slowly fried by being overloaded slightly over a long time. shitty thing is, my tools are all in boxes and I've not yet unpacked them... grrr!

I'll prolly do something about it soon.

dude, just saw your install, that's classy as! love it. looks like you got all the curves and lines sorted, looks super factory. well done!
