Can anyone open a PLT file
Hey guys
I have an image file which has the extension of .plt Is there anyone here who can open it and maybe convert it to a normal image type. I think its from autocad but i dont have access to that software. Thanks in advance Ken |

You could try here ---

Time for a big assumption.
plt looks like plot which I would think is a hpgl file (hewlett packard graphic language). the software in the post above should be on the right path |

I have seen a few plt's. lots of cad graphics progs should still support it, its old mind. hpgl is old, very few things use it, even hp gave up on it very quickly and went hpgl2, which is like compressed hpgl, which is ascii. |

Thanks guys, but i managed to get over to the original designers house and save the file as a Jpeg. which turned out to be 280mb - it almost crashed his crappy PC when trying to open it in paint to make sure it was ok lol

It was something called 'composer' and it looked like a very old program, tbh the guy using it was pretty old and he had been using for a while and just never needed anything else. looked pretty comprehensive though

DoubleCadXT handles this file, its like autocadLT but free
