iGO8 for PC "The Files Thread" - Updated January 23 2010
Please don't clutter this thread with request, or I'll get annoyed and show my heels as fast as you saw my toes.
 If you don't know what the files are for, read the 'iGO 8 for PC' or 'iGO 8 FAQ' thread. If you don't get certain files to work, ask in the 'iGO 8 for PC' thread or read the 'iGO 8 FAQ' thread. iGO 8 for PC thread iGO 8 FAQ So beware, all files are provided "as is", backup your install before messing with the new stuff, don't come ranting if your didn't take precautions. Have fun! First batch: TTS voices. These are 8.3 version voices for PDA, provided by nav'n'go, adapted so they can be used by the PC version. Flawless use isn't guaranteed, as with all the 8.3 stuff. Which program do I need to unpack the 'Western & Central Europe Maps'? These are stored in a z01 z02 etc file. Winzip and Winrar do not recognize them. |

There's no iGO8 V3 for PC.
"iGO8 PC Version 3 Program [NEW RELEASE 2009]" is an iGO8_PC skin. At the moment skins come in five flavours: - Those based on the "Virgin" or original nav'n'go distribution (like Spawns). - Twingos/HP/Sagan/Glass/Black skins. - Dimka/Spectre/Werther/compcar.ru skins - Skins adapted for easier front-end integration (CF/RR etc) - And finally the Romanian Lord of the Skins, the ultimate Azomit skin to rule them all ! "iGO8 PC Version 3 Program [NEW RELEASE 2009]" is one of the Twingos/HP/Sagan/Glass/Black variety of skins. Most likely Gabib77 has another opnion/something to add/claim I'm talking bollocks. Perhaps even jmermel has something to add. Please feel free to ask their advice. |
