The easiest way is to delete or rename the system.ini file in your save folder.

txt to spud

Hello,
I have read almost everywhere but nothing done the task for me. I want to convert speedcameras.txt to .spud file in order to work with IGO8.
Please explain briefly how to do that procedure.
Thanks

Does anyone know how (or if it's possible) to turn on auto-recalculation when navigating? For example, if a take a wrong turn, it doesn't recalculate a route for me unless I manually click on the the upper left corner of the navigation screen. I'm currently using the version LeZandre provided in post 1828.

Thanks for the help!
there is an option in both the sys_pc.txt under the navigation section "

autoreplan_action="AUTO"

or if you click the gps indicator on the lower left of the screen you will see a set of buttons. The leftmost that looks like a road with a y intersection will also do the same thing.

Somewhere I mentionned I had some problems using multiple installatons with igozoomer. This, combined with the autoresume function failing could only be resolved 'on the fly' by generating a new system.ini. .

Spawns solution should be considered the right one! The "getting rid of he system.ini" solution really is the equivalent of hitting an large, heavy, non-to-expensive-object when your car breaks are failing. When you're out of options try that one.

Could you give me the origin of your speedcamera.txt file for reference, 'cause there's a very well written 'how to' in the iGO8 PC FAQ.

http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=10361

Q. How do I get speedcams to show on the map?
A. (Beezer) Here's a HOWTO for Speed Cams in iGO 8

1) Download the Pocket GPS speed cams, either ASC format, Tom Tom OV2 format or even old style iGO TXT format. If you have an iGO TXT file, then ignore step 2.

2) Download Export2iGO from here http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/module...wtopic&t=55769 &

install & run it. Follow the instructions to convert your ASC or OV2 file to old style iGO TXT.

3) Your converted file will be in the export2igo\txt directory. Run the radars utility http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/a...1&d=1203873363 to convert it to spud format. Just extract radars.bat and radars.exe to the export2igo\txt directory & run the bat.

4) copy the spud to igo\content\speedcam directory.

Yes I tried this way but nothing happened. I tried to rename the file "SpeedCam/speedcams/speedcameras" --nothing. I am starting the bat--hop-hop--the black ms dos screen and nothing, no additional spud file.
Here the origin: http://www.volny.cz/sstopar/mio_radary.html

Finally I did it!
It was because the name should be [SpeedCamText.txt]
I was skipping step 2 that is why I have never seen the right name.
THANK YOU!

Eh, no.
Does iGO start up without the .spud file or without using iGOZoomer ?

Yes.

You could even delete the whole content of your save folder.
Exept for the parameters saved in the sys_pc.txt, everything else will be reset.

YES! With XP it starts for 5-10 sec without speedcam file. I had an old .spud file which was 306kb and took 3-4 minutes to start but it could start! With the new one after 3-4 minutes pops up an end task igo zoomer error

I would be glad to test that spud file myself.
Could you provide me with it ?

POI update:

Here's a fix to make 2008.10 POI's visible in 2D and 3D.
Replace the content of the current iGO_8_PC/ui_igo8/icons/poi/ directory with the content of the archive.
They're all "Generic" icons, but at least they're visible.

Feedback is highly appreciated.

Anyone interested in a 1000x700 skin ?

Take my "Virgin" distribution, unpack this archive in it's directory overwriting everything, and once you added the usual stuff (maps, buildings, poi's, etc. (any version will do)) you're ready to play.

@ spawn: If I'm right the speecams are sprites. If so, could you enlarge one, to two or three times it's size ?
