    I've got Map Point 2006... I would expect to have some errors when I install if DaveC did... I'll take screenshots

    right.. im on working an update now

    im programming james to also run on imperial (ie yards and miles) and so far most of the distances have been changed. I want to test this on saturday and do some more finetuning, then i'll post it in the weekend.

    What about a mixed mode?

    E.g. speed in mph, distance in km,

    huh? what u need that for? all distances in the uk are indicated in miles arent they?

    its a bit shitty with the speed, as the gps gives it in knots which i then convert to km/h and make calculations on. for mp/h i then have to convert it to speed in mp/h

    Well, it means you could work the other way too... e.g. in ireland you could use km/h so you know you're in the speed limit and miles so you understand the distance.

    miles -> km = divide 5 times 8.

    1 mph = 1.609344 kph

    or

    1 kph = 0.621371192 mph

    Much cleaner in code to store integers than floating point.
