    nGhost 2.0.0 final

For all those looking for a Linux solution to Car Entertainment, nGhost 2.0 is here to meet the call. Here are some screenshots of it running in the upcomming LinuxICE Beta3:

If you want to give it a try, head over to http://sf.net/projects/nghost/downloads and download nghost 2.0.0 and libnghost. There are deb packages to try it out on Ubuntu, or you can wait for LinuxICE Beta3 which will have this pre-loaded.

In order also to keep with the open source pattern of releasing early and often, we are trying out a 2 week feature cycle where a new minor-version of nGhost will be released. In the queue for 2.0.1 is a bookmarking feature for audiobooks, and a number of bug fixes. If all goes well, it should be released on Aug 29th. See http://wiki.openice.org/index.php?title=Nghost2/todo for details on the development process.

images driven. it does have an opengl backend, but it currently disabled. We've decided to put off any 3D work until ng3. There has been some concept work that you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYjM2L57k04.

as for GPS, http://www.navit-project.org . It doesn't come included within nGhost, but it will with LinuxICE.

not according to my spell checker it wasn't. I think it should be... but there probably is a better word that I just can't think of...

Edit: nope, it's not a word. And I just trademarked it. you owe me 5 cents every time you use it from now on...
