I found a capacitive 6.5" wide panel, that is of this size:

Active Area: 144.00mm x 80.00mm
Outline Dimensions: 164.00mm x 110.00mm

Active area is a great match, but there is 5mm x 6mm extra. And since the shell is motorised and moves up/down, it means that to fit that screen in there, the laws of physics have to make an exception if it's to work.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get that screen in there?

So far I've been thinking about getting the dremel out, and very carefully grinding away 2.5mm from the left and right sides, and 6mm from the top side. Do you think a projective capacitive screen would still work if I somehow manage to do that?

.15"dell screen (with touch screen kit still to turn up)

.Im using ride runner (with im verry happy with so far)
