New CarTFT FM (Automotive USB FM/RDS tuner)
02-Feb-2010 - 10:26 AM - by ccsnet
The search for the holy grail in FM tech for the CarPC continues and I've noticed that CarTFT have a new compact USB unit out. What makes this special in my opinion is the ability to connect it directly to your car antenna with out any mods using an extra adaptor. Depending on your car you may or may not need an aerial amp but these available in most places and only cost £5-15.

The device its self supports Centrafuse (version 2.x and 3.x) and Radiator which means its quite... [Read More]

» Introduction

Digital-car has much to offer and in fact is more than just a web site. It is the home to the UK / EU's biggest and most lively Forum for CarPC / CarPuter / Informatics enthusiasts. From all walks of life and many locations the 'community' aims to install custom built systems in to their cars to provide All-in-one Multimedia GPS systems at a fraction of the cost of off the shelf units from main brands. These systems give the users custom touch screen access to GPS, MP3, DVD, Mobile Phones and much much more. The main offerings of the site are:
  • Forum
  • CarPC / CarPuter Information
  • Home of custom hardware and software projects
  • Dynamic Informatics Projects
  • Regular UK gatherings
  • Meet local people with the same interests
  • Gain advice on 'Where To Start' from the community
  • Have fun creating and helping each other
  • Opportunities for members only offers and more from some site advertisers
  • Much much more
Whether you just have an interest or you are an expert in hardware / software, or even a programmer, all are welcome

The Digital-car.co.uk forums are one of the most active CarPC / Carputer sites on the Net. With more users signing up each day it is one of the most popular new destinations of its kind. Offering friendly moderated ( and therefore safe ) forum people from all over the UK and EU ( and some times even further ) come and join in our conversations.
Uniquely the forum ( and site ) is non commercial and as such has totally independent views on most of the subject. We do have some adverts to pay for the site but these too can benefit members by those advertisers some time making periodical Digital-car.co.uk only offers.
The forum its self is sectionised to allow you to either search for what you need very quickly or visit the right area to ask a question and join in a particular subject.

There are many advantages of been a member as this site progresses... but you'll only find out what if you are.

There are regular yearly meetings where prizes for the best installs are given out donated from the shows sponsors. These are an excellent opportunity to catch up with each other face to face and see some of the best installs you will see any where up close and personal. Many of these installs have been featured in main stream magazines such as Fast n' Modified and PC Extreme and we even have some members who contribute to the international scene as well.

If you cant wait for the national meetings then you will find many local meetings and activities ( not all CarPC related ) are arranged around the country by our members.

Come on - Sign up today and join our community.
